Learn Play Grow Speech Therapy Inc. is a dedicated private practice offering child-centered, play-based language and feeding therapy in San Mateo, CA and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower young children and their caregivers through personalized therapy in their natural environment, fostering confident communication and eating habits.

We’re committed to providing high-quality speech-language and feeding therapy services in both English and Spanish, ensuring we can support a diverse range of children and their families. We offer in-home therapy sessions, Telehealth options, and community-based therapy in settings such as playgrounds, daycares, or schools. Offering therapy in these settings allows us to fit seamlessly into your family’s daily lives and promotes generalization into your child’s natural environment.

We offer language therapy for children ages 12-36 months and feeding therapy for children 5 and up.

Meet Viry Delgadillo, M.S. CCC-SLP

Owner | Speech-Language Pathologist

Hi there! I'm Viry Delgadillo, a bilingual and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist.

I graduated from UC Irvine with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I furthered my education at Utah State University obtaining a second Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders before attending San Francisco State University for my Master’s of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. At SFSU, I earned certificates in Augmentative and Alternative Communication as well as Pediatric Spanish-Bilingual therapy.

My goal is to create a fun, engaging, and effective therapy experience for children and their family. I believe in a play-based approach that meets each child's unique interests and fosters language and feeding development in a meaningful way. By working closely with parents and caregivers, we can create a supportive environment for growth and success.

Throughout my years as an SLP, I have developed a deep passion for working with children in the early intervention age range. I love witnessing their progress and seeing the positive impact therapy can have on their lives and those of the people around them. This passion, combined with a desire for increased flexibility to spend more time with my family, inspired me to start my own practice.

I am excited to partner with you and your child on this journey!

1. Do you accept insurance?

We are currently a private pay practice. We can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to inquire about their out-of-network benefits and reimbursement policies.

2. How much do your services cost?

3. Do you offer free consultations?

We offer a free 15-minute phone screening to determine if your child may benefit from our services.

4. Where will therapy take place?

We believe therapy in a child's natural environment is optimal. We offer in-home,Telehealth, and community-based options.

5. If my child doesn’t qualify for speech therapy, can we still be seen?

Yes, we offer caregiver coaching. This is a valuable resource for caregivers of typically developing children or those with speech-language delays. Caregiver coaching is not considered a direct therapy service as the child is not present for the training.

6. I don't live in San Mateo or the surrounding area, can we still work with you?

Yes. Virtual therapy is an option for children anywhere in the state of California. Virtual coaching sessions are not limited to the state of California.
